| Bio: |  CHARACTER Name: Laura Kinney – aka X-23 Played-By: Summer Galu Age/Birthdate: 15, Oct. 13, 1993 Team: X-Force Powers: Accelerated healing including but not limited to healing cuts, gunshots and puncture wounds and can re-grow limbs in a matter of hours. Immune to disease and infection and the effects of most drugs and toxins. Superhuman physical senses, strength, stamina, agility, and reflexes. Possess two retractable claws in her hands and one in each foot – all covered by adamantium which makes them virtually indestructible. Sexuality: heterosexual, though she is only just beginning to understand any type of feelings that are buried inside her. Hometown: Born in the Weapon-X Facility PERSONALITY Synopsis: Upon initially encountering her, X-23 might be mistaken for a typical young woman, calm and quiet. She rarely speaks in more than one or two sentences at a time and she speaks with perfect grammar, never contracting her words or using slang. She speaks only when completely necessary. As she was trained as a killer, she shows little emotion when harming or killing someone. As she has come into puberty, her emotions are starting to develop more and she is having a hard time controlling them, sometimes slipping into a rage or breakdown. She quickly leaves social situations when she doesn’t understand them or cannot control her own emotions and behavior. Positive Traits: well-spoken, highly intelligent, trained to use most highly specialized weaponry, trained in martial arts and unarmed combat, fluent in French and Japanese. Negative Traits: few emotions, kills without emotion, “trigger scent” sends her into “berserker” rage, trained assassin, unable to fully understand relationships. Likes: karate, kickboxing, yoga, computers, French and Japanese cuisine Dislikes: people who stare, her claws, inability to control her emotions, bright and pastel colors, “girl talk” Talents (Skills): martial arts, absorbs information quickly, computer genius, weapons expert Flaws (Lack of Skills): cannot control emotions, socially lacking HISTORY Family History: Father (genetic material): Logan/Wolverine Surrogate mother: Sarah Kinney – geneticist used to carry X-23 to term. As X-23 is a clone, she has no other family history. Personal History: After the damage of the genetic material that created Wolverine, several attempts by the Weapon X program to create a male clone failed. At the suggestion of scientist Sarah Kinney, the X-chromosome is duplicated and after 22 tries, the 23rd try is a success and Kinney becomes the surrogate of the mutant X-23. Seven years after X-23 is born, she was exposed to high levels of radiation in order to activate her mutant gene. Two claws in her hands and one in each foot were extracted and coated in the nearly indestructible metal, adamantium, then reinserted back in the young child’s body. Scientists then exposed X-23 to what they referred to as a “trigger scent” that would send her into a wild, murderous rage if she were ever exposed to it. Years past and X-23 was trained as a deadly weapon, raised in captivity and grew to know no other way of life. Kinney did her best to expose the child to some sense of humanity, but the scientists of the Weapon X project were too good at what they did and the human side of X-23 was nearly undetectable. When she was 10 years old, X-23 was send on her first field mission – exposed to her “trigger scent” and sent to kill a presidential candidate. After a complete success, her skills were sold to the highest bidders and X-23 became a killing machine. Up until recently, Sarah Kinney remained silent, continuing her own lessons in humanity for X-23. Determined to now leave the Weapon X project, her attempted to smuggle X-23 out of the facility to safety where she could raise her as her own. Her attempt failed, and as she lay dying, she gave X-23 instructions for find Professor Charles Xavier who would protect her from the scientists who created her.
